GR-7

GR-7

This is the first long distance hiking trail that was signaled in Spain. It forms part of the European E-4, which runs from the Temple of Delphi in the Peloponnese (Greece) to Tarifa (Spain), through Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, France and Andorra along over 6,000 km / 3728 mi.

The indications, in red and white colors, guide all walkers from La Forge de Moles (Lleida), after crossing France and Andorra to the Strait of Gibraltar, over 2,699 km / 1677 mi parallel to the Mediterranean coast .

It crosses the autonomous communities of Catalonia, Valencia, Murcia and Andalusia until after Tarifa, where you can sign another Mostpoint, since you'll be treading the southernmost point of continental Europe.

In Calasparra, the GR-7 splits in two branches. The northern Branch passes Cazorla, Quesada and Archidona, while the southern one passes through Huesca, La Calahorra, Trevélez, Lanjarón and Alhama de Granada. Both are reunited in Antequera until its end point.

BADGE GR-7

Upload photos of yourself on the points of departure, some intermediate sections and at the end point, because to conquer this MOSTPOINT you must walk the full GR-7. And remember also to upload photos to certify your visit to Tarifa, the southernmost point of continental Europe. Two MOSTPOINTS in one.

What else is there
Throughout the GR-7 you will visit landmarks of the Spanish geography, such as Seu d'Urgell, Morella, Alcoy, Cieza, Calasparra, Antequera, Ronda and Ubrique, among many others. Take a lot of extra time to do this route and plan in advance, so that you can stop at sites that you like which, we assure you, will be quite a few.rn

Notes
Being an approved route, you can find information about it on the website of the Spanish Federation of Mountaineering and Climbing (english version at the section ‘accesos y naturaleza’)
