This idyllic Caribbean beach hides the westernmost point of the beautiful Jamaica. It belongs to a private resort but if you are not staying there, do not worry because along the coast you can immortalize yourself with this MOSTPOINT behind your back.

It forms part of the city of Negril, with people that enjoy to receive visitors to share with them their privileged natural environment and traditions. Its cliffs offer a  magnificent access to great dive spots. The Royal Palm Reserve is an ideal enclave for walking, bird watching, fishing, horseback riding and to discover a huge number of plant and animal species including some endemic as the Jamaican turtle or some in danger of extinction, such as the Boa of the country.

A visit to the Negril Lighthouse is also a must. It is not exactly located at the westernmost point of Jamaica but nearly and it is  well worth enjoying the great views it offers on top of its 103 steps.

At the Craft Market you will find beads, wooden sculptures, dolls and countless typical colorful items. In all corners of the city you can enjoy the lively festive atmosphere dotted with quiet corners in which to unwind from stress and forget the world.

What else is there
The music of the legendary Bob Marley, king of reggae, is the ideal music while exploring this island in the archipelago of the Greater Antilles. Only 80 km / 50 mi separate the northernmost point of the island from its opposite and 240 km / 150 mi the western from the eastern end. Ideal to take a car and see them all.

It’s geography offers, mountainous, forested areas, cays, coral reefs, cliffs and beaches. The Park of the Blue Mountains, the mythical submerged city of Port Royal and the Seville Heritage Park are all necessary features to be included in your path. In the first you can win another MOSTPOINT: the country's highest point, the Blue Mountain Peak (2,256 m).

Kingston, the capital, is about 220 km / 137 mi from Negril. If you decide to visit it you will discover a city framed by the San Andres Mountains and the sea. It has the seventh largest natural harbor in the world and charming corners with traditional houses, mansions of the XVIII century, the National Art Gallery and Kings House with its gardens.

Notes
Although this is an ideal place to conquer your MOSTPOINT throughout the year, many travelers prefer to do it in the driest months, between December and April because of its warm tropical climate.
